Appetizer Recipes – Planning Your Super Bowl Party To Celebrate In Style
super bowl Sunday is almost sacred to many football fans. No one wants to miss the biggest game of the year. If you are a football fan, no doubt you will be watching the game with family and friends. Why not make it extra special and throw a Super Bowl party so you can all celebrate in style. While most guys are happy as long as there is beer and a few snacks, you may want to go the extra mile with your party. To help you out, here are some great tips to help you plan an awesome Super Bowl party this year.
Start Out with the Food
Of course, other than the actual football game, the food is going to be the main event of your party. Since you are watching the game, you do not need to go with fancy foods. After all, most of the eating will take place around televisions, not around a table. This means you do not want to go overboard with messy dishes. Choose food items that can be easily eaten while sitting on the couch. Some great choices are subs, hamburgers, wings, hotdogs, nachos, and veggie platters. One easy recipe that you can make is Easy Taco Dip, which everyone is sure to enjoy.
What You Need
1 can (16 oz) refried beans 1 lb of ground beef 1.5 cups of medium salsa 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese ¾ cup sliced green onions ¼ cup sliced black olives 2 cups of sour cream Plenty of tortilla chips
How to Make It
Brown the ground beef and drain off any fat. Take a two quart casserole dish and layer the bottom with refried beans. Spread the ground beef on the beans. Pour on the salsa. Cover the salsa with cheese and then top with the olives and green onions. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Spoon the sour cream over the top and serve warm with the tortilla chips.
Have Plenty of Refreshments on Hand
Of course, you definitely need to have plenty of beer on hand for a Super Bowl party. If you are having a lot of guests, you may want to go with a keg. If you are having a smaller group, going with a cooler full of beer may be a good choice. For those who do not drink alcohol, going with a few non-alcoholic drinks is a great idea too.
Set Up Several TV Screens
While most people will probably be in front of the big screen you have in the living room, you may want to have a couple other TV screens up in the house as well. Consider having one in the kitchen and a screen in another area so guests have the ability to move around some.
Decorate to Set the Mood
To really make your party exciting, decorate your home to set the mood for the super bowl. Consider going with plates, tablecloths, napkins, and other items in team colors. You can use streamers and Nerf footballs to further decorate the area.
